MONTE DELLE VIGNE, OZZANO TARO (PR)

Già nell’antichità le dolci colline adagiate sulla riva destra del fiume Taro venivano descritte come "Li monti de le vigne". I rilievi arrivano sino a circa trecento metri di altezza, e grazie anche all’esposizione dei vigneti sui diversi versanti, permettono una maturazione ottimale delle uve.
In questa zona così adatta, Monte delle Vigne è nata quasi naturalmente, dalla passione per la vigna ed il vino, nei primi anni settanta, con sette ettari di terreno. Oggi gli ettari sono trenta, e cresceranno a breve fino a cinquanta. A ovest troviamo barbera e bonarda, uve rosse autoctone di grande temperamento; a est invece la malvasia, uva bianca che in queste zone trova una sua peculiare, elegante aromaticità. Nella zona pianeggiante al centro della tenuta, si erge la nuva cantina, progettata secondo i più moderni dettami architettonici e tecnici, per fornire il massimo risultato qualitativo. Territorio, passione, ed innovazione sono gli elementi su cui si basa la filosofia di Monte delle Vigne.

MONTE DELLE VIGNE, OZZANO TARO (PR)

Already several centuries ago, the rolling hills on the right side of the Taro river were known as "Li monti de le vigne", the mountains of grapes. The hills reach up to 300 metres, and also due to the very good exposure of the vineyards on the different sides, they grant a ripening to perfection of the grapes.
In this area, so wonderfully suitable, Monte delle Vigne has been born almost spontaneously, from passion for vineyards and wine, in the early Seventies, with seven hectares. Today they have become thirty, soon to be expanded to fifty. On the west slopes we find Barbera and Bonarda, local red grapes of great temperament; on the east ones we find Malvasia instead, a white grape that in this region finds a very peculiar and elegant aromatic scent. In the flat in between, the new cave has been built, according to the most modern architectural and technical rules, in order to obtain the very best possible result. Territory, passion and innovation are the elements on which the philosophy of Monte delle Vigne is based.
